A Reddit-like board for city, country, and language communities: locals and travellers talking where they live and travel. This page explains the idea. It is not a live forum yet.
The idea
Talk beside the guide, not on it
The board is for city, country, and language rooms: locals and travellers talking where they live and travel. It is not a review layer over listings. Moderation and safety come before any open posting.
What it would be
Separate communities by city, country, language, and optional topics such as travel tips, legal pointers, or pride. Locals and travellers post in those rooms. It sits beside the guide, not under a venue pin.
Safety first
Moderation comes before open posting. No outing. No cruising or hookup boards as the product surface. Optional handles only; never require a real name or exact home location. Community identity stays separate from claim and owner email so listing identity cannot out someone.
Language stays as written
A post keeps the language it was written in. No forced translation sync into every locale. A language tag on the thread is enough; optional reader-side translation can come later.
Not venue reviews
The board is not stars, traveller reviews, or comment wars on listings. It does not change Verified. Cross-links to place cards are fine; board talk never becomes the listing itself.
Money does not buy conclusions
Sponsors may help keep the servers on. They do not buy Verified, rank, board prominence as fake trust, or the words on a listing. Same firewall as the rest of Gay Asia.
Status
Being designed. Not open for posts. Fund moderation and safety architecture before any live room. Until then, the community directory and suggestions mailbox stay the working surfaces.
